Meet Dr. Richmond

I am truly grateful to be an orthodontist. Having a positive impact on patients’ lives, every day, is rewarding in ways difficult to describe.

As an orthodontist, I am passionate about the treatment I provide and enjoy working as a team – patient, parent, doctor, staff – to achieve the best orthodontic results for each person. By partnering with my patient and their family, providing understandable information about their clinical situation and how treatment actually works, I am able to inspire engagement and compliance with the treatment process. This makes treatment more efficient and comfortable, and delivers the best results.

As a mother, I understand a parent’s concerns and also know how to reach out to and engage with younger patients. When designing a treatment plan, I always approach with the mindset of, “If this was my child, what would I do?” and use that to guide me.

I have been practicing orthodontics since 1999 and opened Montgomery Orthodontics in 2002. Growing up, we had family friends who were dentists and physicians and I was always interested in science and art. Orthodontics was the most appealing professional path, as it is the perfect combination of the analytical and artistic, and allows me time to get to know each patient on a personal level. Those connections are fulfilling and I appreciate the friendships that develop while achieving each person’s best smile.

Beyond the Practice

Born in Vineland, NJ, Dr. Richmond and her family have lived in Skillman since 2006 and in Somerset County since 1997. Fred Richmond, her husband, is a Director at Alight Solutions LLC.

Dr. Richmond and her husband have two sons. Sean is currently attending Purdue University, majoring in Professional Flight. Scott, their younger son, attends The Hun School in Princeton, where he is a member of the Ice Hockey team and the Tennis team.

The Richmond family is rounded out by their adorable yellow lab, Henry, who is happy to play with anyone and everyone. Henry loves his treats, bones, and toys, and often accompanies the family on vacations.

When she’s not creating smiles, Dr. Richmond’s top priority is her family. She can often be found rooting on Scott at his ice hockey games and his tennis matches. Dr. Richmond also enjoys visiting Sean at Purdue University and attending his jazz concerts as well as the Boilermakers football and basketball games.

Lastly, Dr. Richmond places significant importance on her civic duty and is committed to improving the lives of others in and around the Montgomery community through generous support to numerous local organizations for over twenty years.
